I booked a cruise that will be leaving from Yokohama and visiting Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Busan, and Fukuoka from April 27-May 6. I know this is Golden Week so is it a really bad idea? This itinerary is only offered that week.
I don't think it's a bad ideal at all. Since it's a cruise, you don't have to deal with the traffic on Hwys and crazy people on the public transportations. It's a great time to visit those cities on your itinerary. :)

Sounds like a really cool itinerary and agreed with Motoko. Not a problem re Golden Week, and if you're cruising through the Seto Inland Sea, you'll see some really great scenery. All 4 cities you mention are great destinations in their own right. Just out of interest, are you just stopping in those cities, or will there be other stops?

If you have to find a hotel in each of those cities, I might worry a little as it might be difficult. However, it should be a great trip as you'll mainly be on the ship.
