Present Flooding situation. Should I go?

by PJHOW2000 Online Now Jul 17, 2012 at 6:06 PM

Hi, I'me booked to go by ferry from Busan, South Korea to Osaka and Kyoto on the 2nd August until the 10th. As there has been much flooding in the south and to parts of Kyoto, should I cancel my trip or what do you advice? Thanks in advance

You are 600+ km off. Don't worry about it. + Rainy season is now officially over, as of yesterday.

We just celebrated the Gion Matsuri in Kyoto. The city is perfectly fine! The flooding was on the southern island of Kyushu. Some railways are not in operation there but the mainland is all okay! Enjoy your visit to Osaka, Kyoto, and wherever else you will go!

As everyone else said, no problems. Floods are in Kyushu, not Kansai. Kyoto had a little damage last week but nothing to worry about at all. Will be fine by next month for sure.
