Hi peeps. I'm off to Falmouth, Jamaica in 2 weeks for a fortnight to celbrate my birthday at the breezes trelawny hotel. I'm a huge football (I've written soccer also as I noticed their are many Americans and Canadians who have posted on Jamaica. I'm from Brighton, near London and I'm a passionate Arsenal FC fan. There are two massive games on whilst I'm in Jamaica against Tottenham and Manchester united and I want to find a place that shows football. Any ideas?
And my post was supposed to say huge football fan not i'm a huge football lol

No worries mate! Jamaicans are huge football fans as well. Bob marley played football every chance he got, and liked it so much that eventually it killed him. The Breezes should bwe able to accommodate you in the bars on the premises. If not then just head for Mo Bay (montego Bay) nearby, and i guarantee tht the games will be on TV in any one of numerous bars and restaurants. Often all you have to do is ask the bartender to find the game for you if it is not already on the telly. Have fun....( Go Man U!.....sorry mate.......d:o)

Thanks mate, that's reassuring. I know it sounds stupid me being in paradise n worrying about the football, but I'm a die hard fan and football is like religion/culture in my family. It makes me feel happy to know it should be readily available. U said football eventually killed Bob Marley??? Can u explain this as I didn't know what happened. I thought he died of cancer???

Yes he did die of cancer, but it started with a football injury, and he refused to have it treated properly. Eventually it became cancerous and he die from that cancer. Starting in one of his toes, the football injury refused to heal and he refused the treatment due to religious reasons, as the toe needed to be amputated. Left untreated for so long that the cancer spread throughout his body and eventually caused a tumor in his brain. Here is my reggae page. I met him on Maui back in the late 70s. I was back home in Iceland once and invaded a friend's house in the middle of the night to watch the Superbowl.....d:o)
