I'm planning a trip to Jaisalmer during 28-30 December, 2007. Can any one recommend me a good place, mid-range with heritage style, to stay. I already booked for Shahi Palace Hotel. But they are fully booked during that period.
Try Nachana Haveli. Should be in line with what you are expecting. You may read my review of the place on VT, and decide.

i had been in jaisalmer i stayed in hotel gorakh haveli just near to fort it was very much clean and best in all respect , roof top restaurant was good for food and views , i liked it for full addres u can search google.. hotel gorakh haveli i hope it will be help full, after staying two days i changed it i get a room in the desert haveli guest house in the historical place in the fort it self this hotel was on the big wall of the fort and beautiful olden fancy designed constructe i liked its location and guniune friendly staff too, onecan check both and enjoy the a new experience staying at jaisalme but i remind i enjoyed camel safari it was memorabl best organised by desert haveli
