We are considering travelling to Jaipor, Shekhawati, and other areas (Pushcar, Udaipor). However, our current plan doesn't get us to Jaipor until Dec. 26, the Saturday after Christmas. We are concerned that we may not be able to visit the fort. Please let us know (hard to find hours)
Hi - yes, the fort is open on the 26th & 27th. Hours are 9/9:30 - 4:30. There is some controversy about the treatment/mistreatment of the elephants that are avaialable to take you to the entrance. Please take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to ride one. Jaipur is a wonderful city and there is so much to see! Be sure to visit the City Palace, Monkey Temple, and also Jaigarh and Narhargarh forts. Have a great time!
