Hello!! Has anyone experienced the Elephant Festival in Jaipur? I think it will take place on March 3rd 2007 at the same time as Holi, but I am not sure. Would you recommend it? Alternatively, has anyone celebrated Holi in Pushkar and how was that? Thanks, Amanda
yes amanda the jaipur holi festival is great. you get to play holi on the elepahants back. its quite colorful and fun. the celebrations are just before the actual holi day that is on 3rd march. so for holi you could travel to pushkar which is 3 hrs drive from jaipur. pushkar is a quiet town and u may enjoy the festival there too.for any more queries you can write at shomad@sify.com or visit my site at www.freewebs.com/dattaslibrary happy holidays shoma
