Hi can anyone point me to and website email or telephone no where I can organise things like dog sled/ sleigh ride for myself and family. We will be staying in Stockholm but I wondered about doing a day trip to KUNGSBERGET (where I've heard they do this kid of thing). I don't know if this is a company name or the name of a town which is kind of why I'm posting it here. I understand its a 2 -2.5 hour drive - does anyone know of anywhere nearer? Any help appreciated
Kungsberget ("the King's Mountain") is a place in the village of Järbo which in turn is a short drive from the major regional town of Gävle. You can drive there yourself, but there are also ski buses from Stockholm (and Gävle of course). It's definately one of the closest with decent slopes since Stockholm itself only has small slopes (old landfill sites etc.) and Kungsberget is a proper mountain out in the forest. Their site is only in Swedish http://www.kungsberget.se but there you find the phone and fax at the bottom of the page ("Tel.")
