Restaurants and things to do in Jacksonville in Dec.

I will be in Jacksonville New Year's Eve and for a few days in January for the Gator Bowl - Go MSU dogs! I'd like some good restaurant recommendations. We are staying in Deerpark area at the Hotel Indigo. Also, any suggestions for winter activities. Will there be free concerts or fireworks anywhere for the New Year's Eve?

Seven Bridges Brewery is right across the street from the Hotel Indigo. They do a pretty good job on the food and their house-brewed beer is pretty good as well.
