I'm planning to go to Ivano-Frankivsk from Kyiv by train. Can you please tell me the name of the nearest train station from the airport? How to get there? Is it necessary to book train ticket form Kyiv-Ivano Frankivsk in advance?

There are regular buses from the Boryspol airport direct to the main train station.Cost was about H30 and takes 40mins to 1 hour. Taxis will be expensive

Hi I'm also planning to go to Ivano-Frankivsk this July. Would it be too late for me to book my train ticket now or can I get the ticket on the spot. Is travelling by flight a better option?

In truth I cannot give you an answer to that.It is a busy time in JUly and you may not be able to buy a ticket on the spot. It may be better to buy on line but I don't have any info for that. Flying is a quicker option. I know when my family have used the train system in the summer months they had to buy quickly.

Is the skybus a new system? When we have been in Kiev we have caught a different bus from the station which runs every 30 minutes What is the cost from station to airport?

Yes, it's new better system. Cost 27 UAH one way (2,7 euro)
