We are arriving at Ataturk Airport just before 17:00 in late April. Would we have still have enough time after checking in to the hotel to take a ferry ride that will allow us to see some of the European side and the Asian side from the water even if we are too late to catch the sunset? I had read that the public ferry would still be running frequently even though we had probably missed established tour cruise departures. Even without audio explanations, just seeing Istanbul (hopefully the Blue Mosque, etc.) from the water would be a thrill. Our main luggage will be marked for transfer to our flight to Rotterdam the next day, and we will be dropped off at the hotel by a local tour service. We will be staying near the Beyazit metro stop, so should be able to get to Eminou docks fairly easily. The tour service will give us a morning tour of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia on our return leg from Rotterdam, but we thought we could manage a short ferry ride on our own that first night in Istanbul. Appreciate suggestions! Caroline

Does anyone know if the buses that travel from Istanbul to Plodviv also stop in Harmanli? I see the route goes through it but I can't seem to find out if they stop there. I've checked metroturizm.com andbgrazpisanie.com but they only list the departure and arrival stops.
Has anyone traveled this route before that can tell me if the buses stop in Harmanli?
Has anyone ever changed planes at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport? Is one hour transfer time enough? Turkish Airlines offers me a flight to Tbilisi via Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, where I will have 1 hour transfer time.
If I book the flight, I know that it is their job to finally carry me to my final destination, still I would be interested how realistic this is.
I only know Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, which is really large and one of the worst airports regarding queues and waiting times I have visited so far.
So I am just interested in hearing about the situation at Sabiha Gokcen Airport.

I am going to Turkey in April, 2014, and I hope that someone there can assist me in finding concerts, or performances or even rehearsals of folk music. I have a duduk which is similar to the Mey, a wooden, double reed instrument, and I want especially to hear that sort of thing.
