U must be very angry... Capital letters... Some hotels offers free pick up service from airport so my recommendation to book one of those hotel on the metro line . Esenler is very easy to reach from Sultanahmet or Aksaray area via metro line. last metro from Airport to Aksaray 23.00 , so won't be able to go via metro. If u can not find hotel with free service, u may use havatas. Taksim service also stops at Aksaray . havatas.com/en/coach.aspx?i=...

OKEY I AM ALSO WRITING WITH CAPITALS FOR YOU:)) RENT A CAR IS NOT SOLUTION. BECAUSE SULTANAHMET AREA IS NOT EASY TO GO AND SOME AREAS ARE CLOSE TO CAR TRAFFIC AND ALSO PARKING PROBLEM. SEND E-MAIL TO BOTH PLACES . MAYBE ONE OF THEM HAVE FREE PICK UP SERVICE FROM AIRPORT. AT ALSO THAT AREA, THERE ARE HUNDREDS HOTELS AND IF U SEND MORE THEN 10 HOTELS WHOSE PRICE IS GOOD FOR U MAYBE U GET ONE FREE PICK UP SERVICE. IF NO FREE PICK UP SERVICE, CHOOSE YOUR HOTEL CLOSE TO AKSARAY AREA. BECAUSE HAVATAS STOPS AT AKSARAY AND U CAN JUST WALK TO YOUR HOTEL.

Metro - closed during your arrival. So NOT an option. Havatas - is going to Taksim and you want to stay in Sultanahmet as u want to take the tram to buyuk otogar (in Bayrampasa). So maybe not. Taxi - from the airport but maybe ur afraid that they may overcharge you bec. it's after midnight. Private Transport - this may be the last option you have. I use 2 companies in Istanbul who does this transports are very affordable cost, definitely safe and door-to-door delivery. I booked several return transfers for some friends this month at 20 euro for the whole car, no other charges. Pick-up from the airport and delivery to your hotel in Sultanahmet. Here're the links: airporttransferistanbul.com/... efenditravel.com/Istanbul-Ai... Hope that helps.

ANOTHER ADDING HERE. THERE ARE ALSO SO MANY AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICES FROM AIRPORT TO SULTANAHMET AREA FOR 10 EUROS PER PERSON. U MAY ALSO USE THEM TOO. RENTING CAR IS UP TO YOU BUT ALSO WILL COST YOU. AND IT S FASTER GOING BY METRO TO ESENLER THEN CAR.

If you hold down the Control key and press the plus sign, it will increase the font size. If you hold down control and hit the minus sign, it will reduce the font. That might be more effective than using capital letters.

Havatas runs until 1:00am, but no guarantee that u will be able to catch it considering your arrival is 23:30 -- make allowance for late plane arrival, immigration, luggage collection, etc. That's why the last option I've mentioned above - private transfers - will definitely work when all other options aren't available or not suitable for you. And by the way, EUR 70 at Sultan's Eye is the normal rate in most other online booking engine. Booking.com is almost the same at EUR69 inclusive of breakfast and free cancellation 2 days prior to arrival.

And by the way, Sultan's Eye is a bit of a walk to the tram station. If you have luggages why don't you (I would suggest) stay at a hotel near the tram station, i.e. Ares Hotel almost the same price, 2 minutes walk to Sultanahmet tram station, The Constantine Hotel almost beside the Gulhane tram station at EUR65, Barcelo Saray along the tram track, 2 minutes walk to Beyazit station and Grand Bazaar at EUR75, Hali Hotel also along the tram track, 2 - 3 minutes walk to Sultanahmet tram station, and many more along the main road. Checkout booking.com, use their map navigation to see the nearest hotel to a tram station.

I think some of the suggestions for your hotel in Sultanahmet the previous poster gave would suit you better, can I suggest you contact the Hotels direct and make your booking yourself, it is just a suggestion but if you are on this site it seems you are used to navigating the internet so making your own booking should be easy.
