Hi, I'll be in Istanbul this weekend staying at the Beyoglu area; am looking for fellow travelers to go to go clubbing with, don't really want to go alone as my friend is not up for clubbing! Am a easy going sensible female traveler speaking fluent English and Spanish. Please get in touch only if you are kind and normal travelers! PS - if I have to go alone, is it safe?? Many thanks!
What is a normal traveler anymore? Turkey is safe, but I would not go out on my own, and I am a guy. There are too many twist and turns to get lost and be in a dark alley area for me to venture late at night. It was a challenge in the day for me to find my way home. the Beyoglu area that you are staying though has many places to go out and be safe, so just get a feel of your surroundings before you venture out on your own and always carry a business card of the hotel that you are staying. Trust no one as there are many scam artist there. use common sense in these gray areas and you will be fine. have fun at the clubs. cheers tommy x

İndeed its safe if u choose the right places. 360 Istanbul at istiklal street is a nice place with a view and good cook. u may enjoy it. entrance is about 40 tl . inc. 1 drink. but Istanul nights are more joyfull with friends :) enjoy the city

It is not very unsafe. Big city, normal unsafety. there are plenty of clubs in the side strees. ıf you like live music: you can go to hayal kahvesi: www.hayalkahvesibeyoglu.com/ or babylon: www.babylon.com.tr/

Hi all, Thanks so much for all your replies!! I worried for nothing it was very safe indeed! I did end up going out alone but all good and had a nice time. I was very careful though, but in general Turkish people are really nice! Cheers! :)

Sultanahmet area is the best location for tourists due to closeness to major attractions. more
