I'm taking the Havatas bus from Ataturk airport Taksim square then from there to Hotel Residence which has this address: Istiklal Caddesi Sadri Alisik Sok. No:19 Beyoglu. Is it a "walkable" distance from Taksim Square or do i need to take the Tram which passes along Istikal Caddesi to get to the hotel? I only have a small luggage with me. Thank you for any info :))))
Definitely walkable, 10 minutes at most. Taking the tram is no use as your hotel is off the main street anyways.

It is walkable distance. 5 to 10 minutes maximum.

Yes, an easy walk as far as distance, just be aware that Istiklal Caddesi is jam-packed with people (it is a pedestrian street for the most part) at all hours. Walking down it with a suitcase will be a little challenging, but definitely do-able. This is a fantastically lively part of town, so I hope you like that kind of atmosphere!

If this isn't late --- I took my friend to that hotel last month from Taksim Square (metro station), like everyone said it's 10-minute walk, not at all challenging as there are also many travelers dragging their luggages finding their hotel there. From Taksim square, walk along Istiklal Street and when you see the Huseyin Aga Mosque on your right, take the opposite street on the left and that is Sadri Alisik Street, Hotel Residence is about 70 meters. And don't take the tram, it's not going to stop where you want it to stop, take a leisure walk.
