There are so many artificial honey products in Istanbul. The price may be attractive, but the truth is that type of cheap honey is not real. The price per kg can go down to 20 TL for these products, but I suggest you don't buy anything cheaper than 100 TL per kg. Try Karakovan honey for example. A kg may cost about 100 to 120 TL.

aocsatismagazasi.com/kategor... Honey is not easy product to buy all over the world. Most honey are not natural. above link will give u the avarage price for avarage honey. (this one is real and produce of state farm) But good honey kg can be reach 500-2000 usd too:)) (Anzer honey) but if u don't know which honey is real anzer means u have to be expert.... Even it s difficult to decide for experts. At final i would say buy AOC honey in Ankara if u can find if not u ll see so many honey kinds at markets which can be sold also at eu markets. AOC (Ataturk Orman Ciftligi- Ataturk Forest Farm) based in Ankara. So u ll not find difficulty to find them. aoc.gov.tr/index.php?view=cn... all the best

Also be very sure that you can take honey back to your own country. Depending on where you live, some countries will not allow honey to come through quarantine because of problems with the Bacillus larvae beetle, however most of Europe is okay as they cannot stop the bees flying place to place, but many island countries such as NZ will not allow it in to protect their own industries from harm.

I'm not sure of pricing but my wife and I have just returned from Turkey and we had some awesome locally produced honey from Marmaris.
