The Real American Bar?

Hello everybody! I am looking for a place in Istanbul called "The real American bar" or something like that. Out of sentimental feelings, a friend of mine is trying desperately to find this place. He wants to visit it because in the end of the 40's his father who's Bulgarian played piano there. At the time "The Real American Bar" was something like bordello/whorehouse/local where many Americans gathered together with other immigrants. I can't find any information in Internet. I don't even know if "The Real American Bar" still exists today, so I'll appreciate your help. Thank you!
