I am planning a group tour of approx.10-16 persons of evengelical Christians from Canada/USA next Year (2013). When is the best time to visit, cost and weather wise. How to contact a good dependable local tour company? All suggestions are welcomed.
The weather is best in May & June, and then in late September & October. The temperatures are moderate then, there is no likelihood of rain in June or September, a minimal chance in May and a low chance of precipitation in October. Unless your aim is to visit Israel during the holiday season (Passover/Easter in April, Jewish New Year and High Holidays in late September or October), it is best to avoid these months: Prices are higher, flights are harder to find and air-fares are higher, tourist attractions are more crowded. Therefore, all things considered, May and early June are the best months.

I agree 100% with iblatt. Avoid visiting and touring Israel during the holiday season. In 2013, the holiday period is September 4th through September 26th inclusive. Since the holiday period is relatively early in 2013, another very real option would be immediately after it - starting at the end of September. Accommodatioon prices will be relatively low, the weather almost perfect - not too hot with close to zero chance of rain until mid-October.

shalom! the best time to visit israel is in the early fall (september october) or during the spring time (april-may). Since you're interested in group traveling I recommend you contact a travel agent who specializes in that instead of appealing to large travel agencies that do not take into account the size of the group but seem to charge for each person. I know a good travel agent who can arrange flights, hotels, transportation and even professional tour guides who specialize in Christian tourism to Israel - and all in very affordable prices. Her name is Silvana and you can contact her by email (silvana.noori@.gmail.com) Hope I helped you
