Hi, Me and the Hubby and 2 young kids are thinking of spending easter break in the Isle of man and where looking some pointers. What would be the best hotel to stay in and can you suggest any good things to see or good places to eat. Cheers
Last summer I stayed at the Silvercraig Hotel in Douglas, right on the promenade. I really liked it there and plan to go back. http://www.silvercraigshotel.com/ Be sure to take the steam train down to Castletown and see the old Grammar School. Your children will like both. They'll also enjoy the Fairy Bridge. In case you won't rent a car, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the bridge, but be careful, it's dangerous walking to the nearest bus stop later, as you have to walk on the street. For more information, look at the Isle of Man pages here on VT.
