Hi, can anyone tell me how is the weather in the end of October in Tenerife North? Is it possible to swim in the ocean or I will have to go to bath only in the swimming pool? I am searching for a rent a car office which has good offers. 4 years ago when I was there, with a car they gave me the tickets to Loro Parque and simmilar tourist attractions. I am going to be in Puerto de la Cruz. Can you suggest me some nice places (bars and restaurants) to go out? Regards, Sabina.
Ciao Sabina. Just saw your questions and I thought I could try to help. I've been in Tenerife twice, in December and in January and on both ocasions I went to the beach and bathed myself. Air temperature should be around 25 but the water is a bit cold, but you'd get that in the summer too... it's the atlantic, still, if your not planing on staying for 30min on the water you'll be fine. In Puerto de la Cruz, by the docs, where you get the boat you have a few rent a car companies so, you can check them out and see whitch one have the best offer, but try to get away from the ones in the center. Bars and restaurants... sorry can't remember any names or places, we were not in many as I was staying in a friends of a friend house. Hope it was helpful! Have fun and keep the precious smile.

Loro Park is a bit dull unless you have a thing about parrots. I would try and exchange the tickets for something else.

Here's another reason for giving touristy "Loro Park" (sic) a miss. It turns out that apart from putting on side shows of animals that have nothing to do with the Island (gorillas, penguins, etc.) it is also doing its best to wipe out the native species. The latest menace to Tenerife's unique fauna is the Egyptian bat. How, I hear you ask, did Egyptian bats fly all the way to Tenerife? The simple answer is that they didn't - they escaped from "Loro Park". Native bats and insects are directly threatened as a result. Tenerife's unique flora may also suffer because insects and plants often have unique symbiotic relationships. Belgian botanists take note.
