My mother has booked a holiday for sept04 for gran canaria in playa del ingles (dont remember hotel ). As she is 80 I was wondering if it is suitable for her and what problems we might incur. She can walk short distances and user a wheelchair for longer journeys. She will not be alone as her family will be with her. We hope to hire a wheelchair over there. Do taxis accept wheelchairs and are the taxis big enough to accommodate five people? We found in benidorm we always had to take two taxis. I would be very grateful for any help given. I am new to the internet so I sometimes struggle to get on line. I find it difficult to work out what all the different things represent. I like walking and would like to learn to scuba dive but being on holiday with my mother it is not something I can indulge in. Incidently Im in my early fifties but I am reasonable fit. M
