Hi There Its my 5 year anniversary on December 2nd with my girlfriend and I want to take her to Fuerteventura where I plan to propose to her then. The thing is I know she would love if I did it in a live singing venue/ place (she loves music and sings well) but I don't know where??? Are there any popular/ romantic singing venues/ places to do this in December around this date?? I read that there are karaoke venues/ live singing in Fuerteventura but Im more concerned with the time of year. I'm not overly worried as long as its not a really crappy place but I'm just concerned about whats open at that time of year?? ANY and I mean ANY advice on this would be RICHLY appreciated!! Many thanks in advance :)
Hi, can anyone confirm the current price per litre for diesel and petrol. I'm looking into renting a car for our trip in March and I'm in the process of getting confirmation of how much I'll be charged for a full tank of fuel. ( I'm told that you have to take the car back empty. ) I'm trying to avoid getting ripped off by the hire company ( Goldcar ) Any help would be much appreciated.
I tried in vain to find good sites for air port transport from Fuerteventura airport to Costa Palma. Anybody has advice?
going to fuerteventura princess in 3 wks time, anyone know if there are any supermarkets near this hotel.
Hi All, We have just booked an apartment for 10 days in March next year in Caleta del Fuste but have heard some negative comments about the resort. We've been told that it's very quiet as there are lots of shops and restaurants either closed or up for sale. We were also told that it was difficult to hire a car in the resort, which seems a bit strange. I find the above hard to believe so would be grateful if anyone could share their own experiences of the resort. Thanks Tricky Dicky
Hi everybody, I'm planning to go to Fuerteventura to do volunteerwork (4 days). After that, I would like to spend 2 more days in Fuerteventura. What would you recommend to visit? What is possible to do in 2 days. We will rent a car. Thanks!!
Hi, I am planning a trip to Fuerteventura in December. I found a good deal for a hotel in Caleta del Fuste but I from reading online I found out Corralejo seems to be the biggest town which i would prefer. How much would a taxi be from Caleta to Corralejo? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, hope someone will be able provide me with some information about the chances of catching some of the world cup games during my stay. I am travelling with my finace, and our 2 babies daughters in June, is it likely that our hotel would screen any of the world cup games?, or would there be any nearby places that would show the matches, and be suitable for me to take my baby daughters along? Thanks Phil
Which one is best for rooms, balcony, food Look forward to your comments Thanks
Begin of April we're going to Fuertaventura. Which side is most sunny (and not too much wind)?, north, east, south of west? We're looking for a house/appertment for 2 perosns and 1 baby in/near a nice village. Thank you for information
Hi, can someone advise whether it is best to pre-book a taxi or whether we can get public transport from the airport to Hotel Oliva in Corrralejo? arriving on Wednesday at 9pm
Hi I usually go to Lanzarote and stay at Charco del Palo which is a naturist resort and spend most of the time au natuelle. Is there some where similar in Fuerteventura Thanks Skinnydipper
I'm off to Barcelo Club hotel in Caleta de Fuste soon. Does anyone know if there is any wi-fi hotspots in or nearby this hotel. Thanks.
Posted: Thu September 18, 2008 02:15 PM UTC Hi, I am brand new to Virtual Tourist so hope I have got this right! I am planning to go to Fuerteventura for a few weeks in November/December, Can anyone tell me what sort of weather I can expect please. I dont need really hot weather, but would like some good spells sunshine. Cheers Val
Hi - We have saved our Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for a one week holiday in April 2009 and have whittled our preferences down to the Cosmos Villas with Pools brochure - Corralejo resort of choice!! The available villas to choose from are: Villas Tania 1&2, Villa Chemas, Villa Brisas del Mar, Villa Margaritas and Villa Michelle 2. There probably isn't a lot to choose between them all but was wondering if anyone out there has any experience of them, as it seems quite difficult to find any reviews (maybe because they are all quite new?) They all seem to be between 1 and 2 kilometres from the resort so I am assuming that they are quite rural and maybe still in an area of 'work in progress'? Any comments gratefully received.
Hi there We are planning a holiday on Fuerteventura and since the island's main feature seems to be its sand dunes, we would like to stay somewhere near these. However, we are rather undecided between Corralejo or Jandia. In your opinion, which are more spectacular? Thanks!
Hola. Muchas gracias!
Hello, My wife and myself are going to fuerteventura in March. Could you please tell me how much it will cost to get a taxi from the airport to Bahia Grande hotel?? and also whats the most interesting places to visit there? Thank you
It's a nightmare trying to meet everyone's expectations when all I want from Fuerteventura is to sit and relax with a few good books under a parasol by the pool. Spouse wants to explore and keep one eye on any good European football matches on any nearby TV and eat good food. Eldest 20something son wants to boogie board, swim, volleyball etc and watch the girls go by... Younger sweet-sixteen, teen son wants to boogie board, try to surf, snorkel, swim, volleyball, watch footie with dad and watch older brother watching the girls go by so he can laugh! I'm looking for a good B&B or half-board hotel with nice pools, nice food, TV that shows footie, and that is close enough to a beach with some learner size waves.... Oh... and a parasol for me, please!
Hi, me and my bf are looking to book a last minute winter break. We want sun and so have decided on the canaries. We have never had a winter hol before and in the summer tend to go to Greece and last year Sardinia. Therefore I am clueless about where to go! We have narrowed it down to Fuetuventura as this goes on the right day and sounds more our cup of tea than the more popular resorts. Now we are just stuck on the resort. We like authentic places, not too many English bars, high rise accomm etc, nice beach, nice bars and restaurants and nice scenery. We In the summer (high season in most places) I would always pick the quieter resorts and in low season the middle of the road ones. But I am not sure when high season is in the canaries or how busy it will be? We have looked at Correjelo but I'm not sure if it will be too commercial. I like the sound of the resorts in the south more but they all sound too German. Will we be the only English there? Costa Caleta sounds okay but don't like idea of it all being manmade. I'm going round in circles and need to book this week. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hello, My partner and myself are going to fuerteventura (jandia) in january. Could you please tell me how much it will cost to get a taxi from the airport to sunrise jandia hotel jandia. Thank you

Just to let you know - Ryanair are doing £0.01 flights from liverpool to Fuerteventura throughout November. Including Tax its £40 return but you have to add £10 for your suitcase 50 quid aint bad though.
Hi, I've gone through the restaurant tips and forum entries, but as most of them were quite old and the eating out scene tends to change rapidly in tourist resorts, I was wondering if anyone who recently has been to Corralejo could recommend any good restaurants? I'm up for all kinds of food, but in particular I'm looking for a nice sea-food restaurant where we could take our mum for her 60th birthday. Many thanks in advance!
My wife and I are considering a week's holiday in Fuerteventura next March but unsure where. We are looking for somewhere with a bit of night life but not too busy. More chilled out G&Ts by the harbour than Vodka & Red Bull with "Drum & Bass!" Lots of good food & not too many "Full English Breakfast" Cafes & "Red Lion" pubs full of package tourists. A Naturist beach within walking distance that’s not too windy, would be nice as we don't like being by the pool everyday. Also Naturist beaches within a short drive as we will hire a car too. Sounds like a tall order! Any help would be appreciated! Many Thanks. Bue
I am traveling with my two children ages 5 and 2 to Fuerteventura for 2 weeks in December. I would like any recommendations on a hotel or apartment within walking distance (5 to 10 mins) of Corralejo city center. I want to be nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. Also, any tips on what to do with small kids in way of daily fun. Thanks
Hi, Can anyone tell me if there is way to travel by public transport between the international airport on Fuerteventura to the port of Corralejo, or what the cheapest way to do this would be. Thanks.
Hi there, my family and I have booked a villa in Caleta de Fuste, we fly out on the 14th December and are there for 2 weeks. We are taking 4 children with us aged from 5 - 14. Has anyone been here for Xmas ? What is it like? We have never been away at Xmas before. Does anyone recommend a good restaurant for Xmas Day? Many thanks
Hi there I was wondering if someone could give me information on nudist/naturist beaches for the island of Fuerteventura if there are any?? Please tell me the locations and directions from the nearest resort and whether or not it is within walking distance. Any help greatly appreciated :-)
