Climbing/bouldering in Isla de Margarita

by Touni Online Now Jan 2, 2007 at 5:25 AM

Hello all fellow travellers,

Has anyone any information about rock climbing or bouldering in Isla de Margarita (or place where to ask)? I have found all kinds of other outdoor activities but there seems to be no reference to climbing. I can not believe that there is no such places on the island.

Thanks,
Touni

I have come to know "Cerro El Copey", and the national monuments Guayamuri and Matasiete are ideal for what you want to do. Try to get more info.

Hi! Luis gave you very good suggestion, but don't expect a wall of stone, those are just relatively small moutains, mainly for hiking than climbing. Margarita is a small island, with no big mountains, with the exception of Cerro Copey the biggest of the island.
