Are there pelicans to spot in December or is there a place where are more opportunities, f.e. Palomino ?
I've seen pelicans anytime and everywhere from Paracas-Pisco-Islas Ballestas and Reserva Nacional de Paracas (Paracas peninsula) to Huanchaco (Trujillo) and Pimentel (Chiclayo) although I never went to Callao (Lima) and the islas there.

Here in Peru the weather does not change extremly so those animals stay the mayority of the time. Where are you?, here in Lima or are you planning to come? You can watch them from Lima, Arequipa and Pisco easily. Are you looking for an specific species? let me know and maybe I could give you more info. good luck XD
