Does anyone know where I can get a visa support letter/invitation from anywhere in Irkutsk or Ulan Ude? Thanks

Your Russian familar who invited you have to register the invitation letter at a local police passport office(Migration Service Department).

Or you could also ask some tourist companies to get you an invitation letter,etc. The one I know of, is Baikal Mystery. Maybe you should check it out.
