Does anybody have any recent (within 3 or 4 months) experience entering Iraq from Turkey via Silopi and the Habur Frontier Crossing and going into the Kurdish area? Thanks!!!
Hi - recently crossed at Silopi and travelled through Kurdish Iraq to Iran. Also came back through. No problems going into Iraq but more curious as to why you are going there. I just stated a couple of tourist sites (Lalish, Erbil Citadel etc) and it was fine. If you come back through Silopi then it's hell on the Turkish side, they search everything and confiscate anything relating to Kurdistan. Hope this helps.
