I am Canadian and need a visa to enter Brazil. Does anyone know if there is a Brazilian Consular office in Iquitos. Is it possible to acquire a visa at the Tabitinga border crossing. I am presently in Quito and hope to travel to Iquitos via the Napo river. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated! Dave the dentisto
I am replying to my own request because I found out yesterday that the Brazilian consular office in Iquitos is closed, but there is one in Letiticia that is open from 800 to 1400 Monday to Friday. Dave the dentist.

I imagine that your trip is over now, but I travel the Napo River with medicines and supplies for the communities there. Did you go down the Napo - and if you did, did you go as far as the Amazon River? I would be interested to hear how you liked it and what you found interesting.
