family trip to Sioux City

We are planning to visit Sioux City in July for two weeks, looking for a fun family friendly place to stay- willing to stay in another area (no more than 45 minutes away from Orange City) and would consider cabin-camping at a state park. Need suggestions for day trips or a fun overnight trip nearby (fun for elementary kids).
