This restaurant looks quite fun, but the most recent comment in the Inverness guide is from 2004. Inverness is our last stop on the mainland before heading off to Orkney, Shetland and the Faroes. Just looking to see if any VT member has been here recently and can recommend it? Thanks Dave
We had dinner at the Mustard Seed in May this year. Yes, it was nice, very busy, no complaints about the food except that maybe the portions were a bit small! Personally I think you're paying (quite alot!) for the name and the surroundings rather than the quality of food. If you're happy to go somewhere a bit quieter, The River Cafe and Restaurant, a few doors further along toward the harbour, was much better value and the food was great. Maybe not quite so modern, but we enjoyed our lunch there much more than dinner at The Mustard Seed, and the staff were alot more friendly too.
