We are looking to take our Honeymoon in Interlaken. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay, things to do?
Where are you from? When will you be going? What are some of the things you like? Will this be your first visit to Switzerland?

Why Interlaken in particular? There will be very few supporters for staying there on these fora. The villages around Interlaken are much pleasanter places to stay. Funnily enough, I had my honeymoon in Wengen. We've been back 3 times and have also stayed in Grindelwald a couple of times. Lots of people here say Lauterbrunnen as the place to stay. I can't argue with that, it's gorgeous a village. Interlaken is full of cars, noise and tour parties. The nearby villages are much quieter. Wengen is car free. You can walk up to the village, but generally you take the train or cable cars.

Interlaken is a good central base to see all around you. Plenty of pretty scenery. Go up Schilthorn mountain where the James Bond Movie was filmed. There are gorges and waterfalls around the area. Thun is a lovely town and worth a visit, only 30kms away. I have just finished my page on there. If you click on balhannah that will take you to my travel pages and you will find Thun under Switzerland. For more info, put Interlaken in the box at the top where is says destinations, then click 'go' and you will find a lot of info. Also do that for other towns you are interested in. Enjoy your honeymoon!

The last train for Ringgenberg departs Interlaken Ost at 23:05, while the last bus to Ringgenberg departs at 23:08. more
