A day in Interlaken

I am staying in Lauterbrunnen and hope to go around Interlaken tomorrow. I am planning on a boat ride on both the lakes. Which are the other places I must see - towns on the boat route like spiez, briez, neiderride etc. or any others? Are the St. Beatus caves fun with a 10 yr. old? I have a swiss pass. Will all the rides be free? Is there any tram/bus route which covers a lot of places in the city? Thanks
