Are Interlaken & surrounding areas super crowded when the festival is in town in June each year?

Usually around 25,000 people attend the festival each year and there is an area set aside for camping, which is free, so i guess it will be crowded.

Yes, Interlaken is a rather small city. But it is not super crowded.
The festival area itself will be full of people, but if you are thinking about visiting the sourrounding mountains, there you have plenty of space.
