Hello, I am travelling to Jakarta on Garuda and will be arriving at 10:00am then I have a ticket going 1:30PM to Manila but on philippines airlines ..my question is , do i need to clear immigration and stamp my passport befor I proceed with philippine airlines or I can go there without passing the immigration...this very important to me since i require visa to indonesia.. please help ASAP
Hello. I dont think you need to clear your immigration and stamp your passport, as long as youre still in the airport area. Normally, the transit visitors will have to report to the certain counter for the next flight, and all you can do is waiting (and wandering around the duty free shops). If you still feels not sure about, better check your travel agent. Hope it helps.

HI! It's 2 different airlines here and they are not partners in any alliance so no offence meant to the previous VTer, I reckon you must exit and then re-enter immigration. Usually transits are meant for passengers travelling on the same airlines.

Hello, What is your nationality? Maybe you have to check to Indonesian government website to see if your country is exempt from paying visa. Or, maybe your country is in the list of country that may get visa on arrival. Or, maybe there is an information about stop over passenger like you. For your information, departure and arrival for international passenger in Soekano-Hatta airport are in the same building, but at different level. I only know that the stair connecting those levels is at outside, which mean you have to pass trough immigartion. But, I think there is a stair inside. And, there is a sign for transit passenger when you exit the plane. You can follow that sign, that (maybe) lead you to counter for transit passenger. I hope this will helps you. cheers
