I am in bangladesh and applied for an indian visa i got indian visa but only for two month single entry tourist visa. They said i cannot extend a tourist visa then later they said they dont know if i can extend it. Once i am in india with this two month visa can i extend it at the indian passport office or some other place and pay a fine? How many more months can i extend it for and what is the cost? In nepal they gave me a 4 month indian visa before but here in bdesh they only gave a 2 month visa. I mean that is not what i applied for.
about Indian VISA, probably TODAY also in Nepal you'd get 2 months visa. about the extension of the VISA itself you shou ask directly to Indian Consulate or write directly to Ministry of Home Affairs in India, nobody else knows and is up-to-date like them.

No in nepal they give 4 to 6 months. For some reason bangladesh isnt giving out those 4 to 6 month visas. If nepal gives 4 to 6 then it seems there would be some way to extend the indian visa i dunno. I will have to look in lonely planet book for india and see if i can find the info if i had the book i cannot find it. Does anybody have the lonely planet india book who can find out what is says sabout indian visas in bangladesh and if i can extend an indian tourist visa while in bangladesh? I am thinking of just flying to nepal if i can get a chep ticket then getting a new passport and reaplye for indian bida in nepal to get the 4 month indian visa but would india find out i already received one in bangladesh?

first I nearly alway found LP not very up-to-date anyway who is going to issue the VISA? India or BBC Worldwide, who bought a majority 75 per cent share in Lonely Planet from the co-founder Maureen Wheeler and Tony Wheeler? Secondly In the site I gave before it's written also how to get a 180 days VISA. Third... If I were you I would not be in troubble with the Indian Police.
