Hi there! I will be travelling with 3 young adults and 1 preschool child in Macau on April 6, 2012. It's my first time here. However I plan to bring the kids to HK Disneyland on April 7-8. My questions: 1. What is a good affordable hotel near Shim Sha tsui? 2. How to go to Disneyland by MRT? 3. What is a good hotel in Macau thats near Ferry terminal. Thanks!!!! Sorry, my internet is super slow right now, the map just wouldnt dl. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated. Big Thanks!!!!

we are going to Macau for the weekend, on 22 April to celebrate a friend's birthday on Sat night (23rd). The birthday girl and her partner are staying at the Venetian. It looks great but its a tad expensive for us. I looked at the Best Western Taipa, and it seems to have reasonable reviews, and seems to be close enough. Is anyone familiar with these parts of Macau? Can we walk from one hotel to the other? Otherwise is it easy to get a taxi late at night? Or is it too much trouble to make it not worth staying in a different hotel?
what is the best place for dan taat in macau?
i was in macau a few years ago, there was an area with a bunch of very good dan taat restaurants but i don't remember where it was.
we plan to go on casino hopping for our Macau day trip, Any dress code or rules we should know about before going there? Thanks
we (me, my husband and 2 kids aged 8yrs and 15yrs) are booked for hong kong(9th oct 2010-11th oct) and macau(12th oct - 13th oct).
i now see that all these days have weather prediction for rains!!!
would like to know if disneyland and oceanpark are doable in the rains?
also in general if it is a good time to move around as we are open to postponement of the travel plans.
if its fine to travel now, please suggest some interesting things, best places to visit etc. we can do while there.
Can anyone tell me which is Macau's oldest nightclub and/or Disco? What year, where is it and what music did it play? I am writing about the 1980s music scene and nightlife in Macau.
In Philippe Pons's book popular `Macao' on page 60 he writes: `it was thanks to a French doctor practising in 18th century Macao that the Chinese pharmacopeia and traditional medecines came to Europe'. Can anybody tell me who this doctor was, his name?
Will be arriving at 10pm and need to go to HK earliest the next day.. torn between finding a very cheap but safe room, or staying all night in a casino or just wait till morning at the airport.. any tip??.. thank you in advance..
Hello, me and my boyfriend are planning on a 3 or 4 day trip to Macau. We were wondering if you guys can suggest any affordable place to stay. Backpackers rate.
Thanks. Looking forward to your immediate response.
This has happened a number of times, when I want a posting to be placed in Asia - it goes to the "World Forum". By going under the 'World' listing, it takes a longer time for members to get a reply. This is despite opting for the "Asia Forum". This is pretty frustrating. I hope this question will not land in the 'World Forum' again. Is a moderator controlling this?
Does anyone know anywhere in town I can rent a moped for a few days, and how much does it cost?
Plus, how does it work with my UK licence?
We will leave for Macau and arrive there at July 17th.
We will stay there for about 19 days (my brother is living there).
Anyone around at that time?
Would be great to meet VT members...
Thanks, hope to hear around, greetzzz RoyJava
