Can you tell me plz if the ferry will run in Jan 08 and from where we catch it ...we are based in Obidos Thankyou Claire
If I'm not mistaken, and based from my experience, the Berlenga ferry from Peniche I think runs only from early spring to about late September. But my travel to this beautiful little island took place a couple of years back. Outside of those months, you can probably hire a private boat from Peniche fishermen to take you there. But I'd check directly with the tourist office in Peniche.

Solodancer is right. The commercial trips are made by Viamar from May 15th to September 15th. (cabo-avelar.com/horarios.htm... or phone 351 262 785646). Out of that period only fishing ships risk (if the sea allows it) to take people there.
