Hello, I'd like to travel from Kalamata to Igoumenitsa. Car hire is expensive with the one way charge. I wondered if there were other ways. We would be travelling with 2 small children and happy to stop enroute for a night somewhere of interest.
Does anyone know if there is a direct bus from Igoumenitsa to Thessaloniki? If so how often do they run and how longs the journey?
I've been scouring the internet but keep coming up with conflicting info.
Any help greatly appreciated
Many thanks :)
I need to leave my car in Igoumenitsa for 7-10 days before crossing to Bari. Any safe parking garages available in town?
Hi I am due to arrice in Igoumentisa arounf the 11th of january and would then like to move on to athens, what would be the best connections? bus or train?
Also from Athens can I get a train (withy my inter rail pass) to macedonia?
Has anyone had experience/hiccup with on-line booking Superfast ferry tickets on the Bari route.
I booked 2 berth cabin with Superfast 1 for May 3 2014 from Igoumenitsa Greece to Bari Italy. I have a booking reference no, an access code. I also have a Bank Transaction ID and Bank Approval Code. I tested the ref no and access code on the superfast website and my reservation seems in order.
I am confused because I received an email from firstname.lastname@example.org informing me that "we found a failure try proceeding with the booking through our on-line system for our IG-BA route Please note that your credit card has not been charged and your booking was not confirmed. I have to call someone in Greece "in case you want to proceed with the new booking and payment over the phone.
I the email a scam?
Is there a bus or train from Igoumenitsa to Parga and also to Corfu? If so, is there a website with timetables and prices? We would also be interested in renting an inexpensive car if one is available. We are off a cruise ship in Igoumenitsa on Sept. 24th from 8am to 4:30pm. Thanks for any information and advise about where to take a
Will be travelling from igoumenitsa to Athens (return) in June and am hearing/reading lots of horror stories about the journey! Things like, the route takes you on very narrow mountain roads that have no barriers and huge drops, unsurfaced roads etc. The KTEL buses are said to be awful (no air-con, packed, dirty etc).
Its been suggested we get the ferry from igoumenitsa to patra but that would be a last resort as my friend suffers seasickness. Also, flying is out! (pretty awkward!)
Can anyone shed any light on the things I've heard (state of roads, KTEL or alternative company etc) I would be really greatful if so.
does anybody know if there is a bus from igoumenitsa to ioannina after 20.00? or if there is a timetable published somewhere on the internet?
thanks a lot for your help!!
In june, i will be arriving in Igoumenitsa at 6am, and want to continue the same day to Thessaloniki by bus. Can anybody tell me where the bus station is in Igou, and roughly the fare. Thanks.
Does anybody know of budget accomodation in Igoumenitsa, i will have to stay one night. Also any further info as to when the KTEL website will be up and running. Also it is 5 years since I made the trip from Igoumenitsa to Thessaloniki, how is the Via Egnatia doing?
Could someone please tell me the frequency and cost of the bus between Igoumenitsa and Preveza. We intend to travel between the 2oth of May and the 6th of June. Thanks
How often do buses run from Thessaloniki to Iguomenitsa? Is there another place to find the schedule if ktel.org is not working?
Is it possible to hire a car in southern Europe and bring it across borders? I had hoped to rent a vehicle in Igoumenitsa in Greece, drive to Istanbul and then drive up to Bulgaria. Is any of this frontier crossing possible or legal?
