going by ferry to iceland

hi, we (2) are planning to travel to Iceland this summer, and would really love to go by ship. Has anyone experience with travelling by ship to Iceland ? - we heard that there are also container ships transporting travellers. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot! r
