RingRoad with a normal car in October?

Hi, I am planning to visit Iceland, rent a normal car (no 4 WD), and do the Ring Road in a week. Is that possible, or are there snow or floodings, and do I need a 4 WD for the Ring Road? Thanks, Tobi
