We are spending a few days in Oaska before a cruise on the Volendam departing Kobe Port on April 1, and will be making our way to the port on our own -. I need to know which terminal to show up at. David

I will arrive into Kobe on April 28, 2013 aboard the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship. I believe that we will dock at pier 4 (where the Port Liner runs) but I have not been able to confirm this. Our first destination is the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden & Ropeway (my wife is an herb Gardner). What is the best way to get from the port to Nunobiki Herb Garden? Train? Taxi? what?

I am flying to Osaka in March for a one month visit to Japan. I am leaving by ship from Kobe and would like to store a suitcase with dress clothes in the Osaka/Kobe region that I can retrieve for my trip home. Does the port passenger terminal offer long term baggage storage? Or train station beyond a few days? I don't really care where, I just don't want to haul around a large unneeded suitcase for one month. Thank you

My wife and I are planning to fly from Canada and get on the Holland America cruise line Volendam at Kobe. My question is since our flight ends up in Osaka (ITM)and we plan to get to Kobe, which is closer to our cruise ship, for a few days (and sight see), what is a good hotel in Kobe to take and what kind of transportation from the hotel to the cruise ship is the best and easiest. Also, what is the best and easiset transportation from the Osaka airport to the kobe hotel. My wife will be using a collapsable wheelchair. We are both older and retired.

Hashinoya Bekkan Ransui the most kuxurious Ryokan in the area? There is also another known as the annex. What is the difference. Are there others that are superior than this offering? Also how far is that from the Kobe Port that Cruises arrive in. What is ideal, spending one night or two nights there. Best, YY

Hi, WE (2) need to transfer from hotel MITSUI Garden hotel in KYOTO to the HAL Cruise line Passenger (Cruise) TERMINAL in KOBE, Japan. DO NOT WANT TO TAKE A TAXI & DO HAVE TWO BAGS EACH OF LUGGAGE. Need to make transfer in a 6 to 8 hour time frame and at most reasonable cost. ((( FYI: We will have been in Kyoto for 3 nights & if possible would like to make transfer in AM so as to have a few hours to see whatever possible sites in KOBE OR OSAKA.......IF POSSIBLE))) Many thanks for any responses or information...comments welcomed. My friend has a tattoo that's too big to cover up. We were warned that certain onsen throughout Japan will prohibit his entrance. Have any of you had experience with this in Kinosaki? I really want to go there but if he's not allowed in the Onsen, there's no point.

Hi all, I intend to vist the Nada Fight Festival in Himeiji in Oct 14, 15. I'd like to know if anyone here is PARTICIPATING in this festival, or knows of someone who does?? I will be traveling to Kobe in the fall and I am a very picky eater. I really do not care for fish nor rice. Should I send or are you allowed to send non-perishable food to Japan? Do they have restauant's like the outback in the U.S? Is the food at McDonald's the same food we have here? Thank You Jude

What is the best and least expensive way to get from Kobe, near the Sannomiya Station, to the cruise terminal in Kobe? My information so far is it will cost us about100 to go by taxi/limo. Are there other alternatives? We are two people and will be travelling with at least 4 pieces of luggage.
