Anyone know of any good agencies in Hurghada where I can book excursions to Cairo and Luxor w/ English speaking guides? I spent a week in Hurghada last year and when we booked our excursions the guides only spoke German. We were to be charged another €15 for an English-speaking guide, which out of principle I didn't pay. The tours were good but would've been better if we understood what the guide was saying.
I went with GEM Travel but you can also go with GEO, because they both had English speaking guides..........The trips weren't glamorous but decent and very cheap costing me for both Cairo/Luxor only 430 Egyptian pounds or roughly about 30 euro a peice........... When I say its not glamorous, the buses are okay and the food is decent but not like a luxury coach or 5 course meal...........you go with the normal convoy of buses who all go to the same places and also visit the papyrus musuem and alabaster shop Hope this helps, You can find both GEO and GEM in Sekalla right across the street from McDonalds
