Transportation from Danang Port to Hue

by Teener60 Online Now Dec 6, 2009 at 8:00 AM

Am looking for cheapest and hopefully fastest method to travel from Danang Port (Tien Sa Terminal) to Hue. We only have 10 hours after arriving at the port. Also, what are must sees for that short period of time? Thank you!

The fastest is not the cheapest. The fastest would be to hire a private driver/taxi. You should be able to negotiate this (use a large hotel to help if needed) for about40 US The cheapest would be to take a scooter taxi to the bus terminal (just north of airport). From there you can take either buses or mini-vans to Hue. Cost for this is just a couple dollars. If you have 10 hours, depending on when you arrive, you must put aside ~4 hours for transit to Hue if you take cheap option. 6 hours in DaNang would let you see Monkey Mountain and have a good meal. Use the travel guides for help on what to do/see in DaNang. My pages as well as others can be found: Da Nang Travel Guide

Hi, Have you considered going to Hoi An instead of Hue. It is closer (about 20-30min taxi ride) with plenty to see and clothes to buy plus great restaurants and a great beach. You will also be able to visit Marble Mountain at Danang. Regards Peter

I agree with Peter, Hoi An would give you far more of everything without a great deal of driving. You could shop, go to the beach, ride bikes and eat at some rather awesome restaurants (did I mention shopping as well). There are historical sites and pagodas right in Hoi An Town as well and a rather interesting central marketplace. see reidontravel.com
