I ma looking to do a 5000 - 6000 meer peak around late July in the Huaraz area. I'd like to know of any peaks that are good value and not technical. Also 1, Any recommendations for guides 2, Any special equipment needs? 3, Any web sites/email addresses of helpful people
i was just in Huaraz and did some mountain climbing and ice climbing there....you need to hook yourself up with skyline adventure, a guy called Alex there is american and been a mountain climber for the last 7 years or so, they have the newest gear too...everything from crampons to ropes to axes, etc... email me for more info...if u want technical stuff, forget the santa cruz trek, everyone goes there and its no biggie
