1. The rail system in Houston is1.25USD for a one way trip. Actually, I am doing this from memory, because IE6.0 keeps shutting down when I view the Houston metro site (see #2).
2. The Houston rail system is only 7.5 miles for a total of 16 stops, so it doesn't go too many places. Like most Southern cities, bus systems are more prominent (or, of course, you own your own car, because we assume that everyone has a car). See http://www.ridemetro.org/ for more info.
