      London to Marlow

      London May 14, 2013 at 3:49 AM

I am planning on travelling from St:Paul's tube station to Marlow. The national rail is advising me to reach Paddington by tube, and continue the journey by train via Maidenhead. The trouble I am facing is that the train changes are rather closely placed (5 min!). Would it be safe then to buy a anytime day return ticket from PAD to Marlow (and use Oyster for the tube leg)? Does it make sense to book it in advance (which means I have collect it in the PAD station)? What about bus services?; Google maps are providing me a few suggestions, but appear to be a slower option. Comments greatly appreciated!

We are spending the last 4 days of 2 week trip in London. We are flying into Heathrow and are looking for lodging for two nights that is convenient to public transportation (tube/train) The last two nights we are with friends in Bexley. Need suggestions on moderately priced B&B, hotel, etc. will make it easy to get to major London sights. We've been there before I know our way around a bit. Appreciate any suggestions.

      Thanks,

      First Great Western help

      London Apr 18, 2013 at 8:04 AM

I am trying to buy return tickets from Paddinton to Moreton-on-Marsh. The 1st Great Western site doesn't give much info on the use of railcards. Either Family and Friends Card or Senior Card seem to have potential as I am traveling with my daughter and I am over 60. The price that comes up when applying either of them is reasonable and much lower than the regular but it doesn't explain if we are eligible for F and F or if I used the Senior card would it apply to my daughter. Also doesn't indicate how I purchase the card and if I can buy these tickets on line and then buy the card after we are there. I have sent a question to 1st Great Western some days ago but have not gotten a response. Any help would be appreciated.
