I am planning to attend a conference in Shatin, Prince of Wales Hospital this coming March. What is the easiest way to get there from the international airport? It will take me about 13 hours flght time to get to HK. I hopefully will be able to get a room at Royal Park Hotel in Shatin (Good hotel?). The meeting starts early and ends around 6pm. for about three days. Would really like to stay close by. Suggestions about good hotels close by are appreciated. Should i try and stay at Kowloon for a my last evening or two in Hong Kong. I have not been to Hong kong since 1986. Thanks so much for any suggestions.
If your conference is daily I would find a hotel in Shatin. The hospital can be accessed easily by MTR, at City One station. Here's the map: mtr.com.hk/jplanner/images/m... I think Royal Park Hotel is one of the closest as you have a short commute (14 minutes train time). And the hotel is a short walk to the station. I would stay as close as possible as the train gets very crowded during rush hour. You can always take the train out in the evening to Kowloon.

Al, the Royal Park Hotel is exceptional value and of a high standard as my wife and I stayed there last year. The A41 public bus from outside the airport terminal stops directly in front of the hotel, just ask the driver to tell you when you are there although you really can't miss the hotel. The hotel is also a reasonably short walk through the shopping mall to the MTR station from where you can go all over Hong Kong. Have a great trip.
