      Varadero Yesterday

Hello: Can you please tell me the best way to prearrange transfers from the Varadero Airport to the Riu Varadero?
I would like to prepay if possible and know it is arranged in advance but would appreciate feedback. Is there a particular transfer company that I can prebook the transfers with?
My hotel and air is booked separately and therefore transfers are NOT included.
      Thanks for your input!

      Cuba Apr 29, 2013 at 4:12 PM

Hi, I'm going to Cuba for the first time and I'm a US citizen but I want to know if its ok for me to exchange dollars to Canadian money at my LA Airport here when I leave and then change the Canadian to CUC and Pesos when I arrive in Cuba. I wasn't sure if you have to have a passport from Canada to bring canadian money. Also, I see someone said you have a max of 50 cuc daily. is that right? Just my rental car is over 1000.00. They're charging me 90.00 daily plus 20.00 plus 200.00 deposit for a Kia Rio, is that crazy???? Yes, I think. I rent here all the time for business and have rented a cadillac or huge v8 SUV like what I own for less than that.... Is there a maximum amount you can bring into the Country? I also wanted to be able to bring enough so my husbands family can go everywhere with us and we can buy groceries and other things they may need. I'm also buying them shoes an clothes to bring for them and since it's my first time I don't know what to expect. We are going through a travel agency in miami since here where we live there's not one that specializes in Cuba related trips... Please any adive and info would be greatly appreciated. we are going for 10 days this summer. Thanks again very much..

I've been to Holguin two times and stayed at four star hotels both times. i loved the resorts but i must admit i love the city of Holguin much more. i am planning to go again and i am looking for a place to stay the closest possible to the city. what is the clsest resort to the city and how long does it take to get there? because last time i've spent nearly200 to travel back and forth. Also has anyone here stayed at the Pernik hotel, or other small ones in the city? please describe if it is worth to try it out. i'm not too picky about food or conditions as long as its clean safe and i can sleep at night and not die of food poisoning. what would you suggest for the purpose of staying in the city but with a planned trip so that rules out casa particulares.
