Hi All, I will have a very short trip to HCMC; my arrival in HCMC is late night on 11/26 and departure will be early in the morning 11/29; namely, two full days! Currently I am planning to spend my first day in the downtown and rent a motorcycle; the next day I will want to take a local trip. Since this is my first trip there and I have rather little knowledge about that city, could anyone give me a suggestion of where I should go for my second day? Many thanks! Cheers, THLIN

I assume on your first day you will do Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Cholon or Ben Thanh markets, and maybe walk Pham Ngu Lao area. Second day could be Cu Chi tunnels and Cao dai Temple.

Getting around town is easy, much better to high a xe om (motorbike taxi) then hire a bike. Traffic at the momment sucks, had one english teacher die on his first week here on an accident (not his fault), as your probably going to stick to D1 it isn't really worth the risk. Day two a trip to Cu Chi and the Cao Dai is a good option. Jonny

Hi you How come you don’t stay longer than 2 days?:) By the way,what is your interest? so that gonna be easier in suggesting you a recommendation where to go? But yeah you can go shopping in Ben Thanh market,Saigon Square or Hoxton Park are big shopping centre. I know shouldn’t suggest you alot at once because you only take a day. So in your first trip before, which place have you already been?

Wow..u plan to rent a bike at HCM city? You cant imagine how terrible and scary the traffic there. Even when we are crossing the road, also feel soooo terrifying!! Must be extra carefull!! I been there for 4D3N. First day in town, do shopping at Benh Than Market and Pham Gum Lau street. Second Day visiting those tourist place like Reunification place, city hall, Third day went for local tour at Mekong Delta. The trip was nice, but the weather there are terrible hot!! Which hotel are u staying? We stayed nearby the Benh Tan Market called Len An hotel 2.Only USD30 per nite!! Higly recomend this hotel! Worth for the money!!^_^
