Make your own party with others at the Backpackers Street. Beer is only 50 cents a pop and you will meet many others drinking it.

The beer in Vietnam is nothing special. If you're lucky, you'll find some places selling high end Belgian Beers like Chimay, Duvel and Maredsous. Other than that, your stuck with mainly Tiger, Heineken, San Miguel or Fosters. Vietnamese beers are average at best, IMO. Ba Ba Ba is probably the best of them.
