We are a family of 9, 17yrs to 60, we like more natural area, on the beach but also with shops 7 restuarant available to us, we thought of Hikkaduwa but just read ur reveiw, can you suggest somewhere else for us to look into. thanks Kerry
Hi Kerry, Hmmm... Hikkaduwa can indeed be a bit crowded and noisy. Two other areas maybe better suit the needs, because there the hotels are a lot further away from the busy main road: Unawatuna and Bentota. U'tuna has lots of boutique guesthouses and two star-class hotels; Bentota has a wider star-class choice. For Bentota, the closer they are to the peninsula (or even on it, like Ceysands) the further from the main road. All the best, & [Sandya]
