Flight advice for Herat

I am flying from California to Herat in late March. Understant best way is thru. Frankfurt, Kabul. Cannot find flights from Kabul to Herat. Any other way into Kabul? Arriana Airlines appears to only fly one flight in and out weekly, Wed. Any pointers appreciated. Steve Smith
