Hi all! I'm looking for a very cheap and basic place to spend one night in Heraklion. Will arrive late by plane and leave early by bus. Thanks The Fool
Have a look at the Hotel Lena - see Below ffor my reply in the Heraklion forum: "Try Hotel Lena - Lahana - 10 minutes (for an out of condition 40 something with a very heavy rucksack) for the bus station - not the cheapest, but it's got double glazing without which you might as well be sleeping outside - aircraft noise is horrendous and before double glazing was fitted I manged 1 hour sleep in the Lena!! Upper 30 euros for a double..... http://www.lena-hotel.gr/" I've arrived there at anything up til 3am in the morning and been out to get 8.30 am buses.....
